Bronze leather-leaf sedge. A hardy, small tussock forming grass with unusual coloured foliage best suited to naturalistic-styled plantings. It seems to be the kind of plant that you either love or hate !

This sedge has very attractive green to orange coloured foliage and is attractive year round. The small tussock grows to only 50cm tall but the arching habit give this plant a softness which is suitable for growing in both formal and informal plantings. Pretty much looks after itself.

Tufted-hair grass is a small and compact plant growing in a similar size to blue fescue. Attractive dark-green foliage mounds are no taller than 20cm and look best when grown in dappled shade. In spring and early summer very fine wispy flower heads emerge.

A native grass-like plant with dark-green strappy foliage to about 1m high. The rhizomateous habit will create a considerable clump and looks best when planted in a naturalistic setting. In spring bright blue flowers adorn the clumps and these are followed by beautiful 'Jelly-Bean-purple' seed pods.

Slender upright foliage mounds of grassy habit are topped with long arching flower spikes looking very much like a fishing-rod, hence the common name 'Fairy's fishing rod'. The soft pink flowers are produced in great numbers and look spectacular in early spring/summer. This plant is actually a bulb and resents being divided too often so it is best left to do its own thing.

A tall variegated ornamental grass with attractive green & white coloured foliage. A deciduous grass emerging in spring & growing very quickly to about 5' tall, this plant adds good height and softness to its surroundings. In mid-summer soft-wispy flower plumes sway above the foliage. As winter approaches the foliage begins to fall but the remaining flower spikes still look quite structural.

Tall and imposing evergreen form of grass. This plant needs a good amount of space to grow as the mounds are happiest if given plenty of room to stretch-out. Slender dark-green foliage is upright in habit but gently arches as the mounds get up to the 5' mark. The flower plumes are produced clear of the foliage and gently sway in the slightest breeze. A very attractive speciman.

The purple foliaged form of this grass is extremely attractive and free flowering. From mid-spring new foliage emerges with dark purple-bronze colours and is unaffected by extreme conditions. Above the soft textured foliage attractive deep crimson plumes emerge fading to a light straw colour.
