Digitalis ferruginea gigantea is a short lived perennial which produces dramatic apricot-coloured flower spikes up to 180cm tall in early Summer. Attractive, deep-green foliage grow from a neat rosette and add a dramatic vertical puntuation mark in the garden. Flowering in its second year and then self-seeding, it can form a great naturalistic addition to a modern perennial planting. Combines really well with grasses. Would benefit from some Summer watering.
