Phlomis tuberosa 'Bronze Flamingo' is a beautiful and very hardy perennial plant. A semi-evergreen perennial the attractive dark green, heart shaped foliage is soft and wrinkled. The flower spikes rising above the foliage to around 150cm, have dark red to reddish-brown stems bearing architectural whorls of lilac-pink flowers in late spring and early summer. A no-brainer of a plant, long lived, robust, hardy and reliable in flowering. It also resists attack from pretty much everything. A beautiful architectural flowering perennial for any soil in full sun. Drought tolerant and beautiful. Looks great in a naturalistic planting scheme.
