Rudbeckia amplexicaulis is known as the clasping coneflower for the way the foliage appears to clasp the stem. A smaller growing plant than many coneflowers it grows to around 60cm tall. Bright yellow coneflowers with a dark central disk bloom throughout late Spring and Summer. Can be treated as an annual but will self-sow in the garden for colour year after year. Good drought tolerance and easy care.
