Sedum 'Matrona' is a taller and more striking succulent then 'Autumn Joy'. The attractive purple / green foliage mounds emerge in early spring and quickly form tidy rounded mounds to 70cm high. Above these lush fleshy mounds large flowering clusters of developing blooms slowly develop. The flowers at first soft pink and white change to a deep claret colour. Covered in bees and butterflies feeding on the sweet honey scented nectre. Extremely tough and drought tolerant.
